Lighting larger groups of people can be challenging in terms of keeping the exposure even over the group and so feathering is a perfect solution because feathering the light allows you to decrease the brightness on the near subjects while increasing it on the far and since it does so without changing the distance of the light, has much less impact on light quality and is a great solution for evening out the light in cramped quarters. Now that’s something!!!
